Hail in Athens

Hail in the center of Athens?! I woke up at 03.00 a.m. beacause of a strange noise - I thought somebody was throwing stones at my home or something like that - and I saw the hail on my balcony.
However shortly after the early morning hours, a strong sun rised and now that it is almost midday, feels like spring and the temperature approaches the 16 °C. Take a walk if you have time to enjoy today's sunny weather! Who knows what tomorrow brings!
Reminder: Today is the celebration of the three Hierarchs and the schools remain closed all over the country!
♡ Enjoy your day in the tropical Greece!

Travel to the central west seaside Portugal

Today, that the weather isn't so good to us in Athens and all over Greece as it is predicted with lot of rain and cold, what would you say if we travel to my favorite beach in Portugal?
(Yes, I have finally completed this page too! Though sometimes - due to the daily routine - it really feels like a mission.)
And it isn't found anywhere else but in the coastal city of Nazaré, yes the one which is famous for its giant waves (30+ meters high) in the winter and photographs that make the round of the world, with some of the best surfers worldwide, sweating as they try to tame them.
But when it's sunny and the weather is good this place is the paradise.
For sure you won't dive to the Atlantic ocean as easily as you might dive in the Greek waters or in the mediterranean sea, as you have to mind completely different factors but this long sandy beach, the atmosphere, the people and the fishing history of this destination will enchant you for sure.
Read about my favorite Portuguese Nazaré and learn how you could organize a pleasant trip there, because if you travel to to beautiful country of Portugal, it is such a shame not to visit it - I personally guarantee that.

Today the so-called Prespes agreement was passed in the greek parliament with 153 votes in favor and 146 against.

Apart from the 145 MPs in SYRIZA, 8 more votes for the Prespes agreement was received from: Katerina Papacosta (Deputy Citizens’ Protection Minister), Elena Kountoura (the ex-ANEL tourism minister), Thanasis Papachristopoulos (ANEL), Spyros Danellis (independent), Stavros Theodorakis (centrist Potami), Giorgos Mavrotas (Potami), Spyros Lykoudis (Potami) and Thanasis Theoharopoulos (independent).
Votes against were cast by 148 MPs from New Democracy, Democratic Alliance, Communist Party of Greece, Independent Greeks, Centrists’ Union and independents. After the result, the Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras Facebook saluted the new era under this statement:

“Today marks a historical day. Greece safeguards an important part of its history, the heritage of Ancient Greek Macedonia.
Today we write a new page for the Balkans. The hatred of nationalisms, conflicts and arguments give their place to friendship, peace and cooperation.
The next generations in both countries will owe a debt of gratitude to the deputies who, with courage and daring, laid the foundations for a future of peace, solidarity and harmonious co-existence between the two peoples.
North Macedonia, which was born today, will be a friendly country. An ally and supporter of Greece in its efforts for safety, stability and joint development in the region.”

Tsitsipas dream into semi-final

Tsitsipas dream continues as he storms into semi-final.
The “proud Greek” will be playing for the blue and white on Thursday night vs Rafael Nadal in his first ever grand slam semi-final on the Australian Open 2019.
As revealed by “The Age” earlier today:
Tennis Australia had conversations with Tsitsipa's family about a potential change of nationality.
But the man himself states that it never went further than those discussions.
“Not really that close”, he smiled. “I guess it's disappointing for them but for me I'm proud to be Greek and representing the blue and white colours”.

New economical foundation to buy or to die but never buying?

Happy name day to Antonis and Antonia or Tonia! Today is a sunny day in Athens and I have tried one more affordable foundation - the Delia's Luxury Look Lift And Smooth foundation in the tanned shade and I uploaded my review to let you know whether you should buy it or if it is to be avoided. Spring is on its way - I thought - and what's better than a product that shows your skin slightly tanned? Is this foundation the one I was looking for?

Are you a snow or winter hater?

Today in Athens, we got up in the morning and (in the center of the city) there was some snow on cars and trees. To the north of the prefecture and the country, everything had been covered with snow. If you hate the snow and the winter, if the snowman looks a sad to slightly frightening figure, if you don't love snowball and you can't understand all the crazyness going on our country's social media - on the first snow, then I am your friend and below I have prepared your article.

Happy new month and a great new year!

Without wanting to be ungrateful to all those beautiful moments of my life so far in general, what I hear you people often say - like: “It was an amazing year!” or the other one you write on social's media posts: “Thank you year EX you've been so fucking good to me” with lots of emoji-hearts, stars and exclamation points on the row, well - I haven't said it. Yet.
May 2019 be the year that will change this point of view for all of us and will make it a prospect.
